1. Medical personnel should do a good job of hand washing, cleaning and disinfection, and check the patient information, the type of drainage bag and the retention time of drainage tube;

2. Lay a treatment towel on the interface of the drainage tube;

3. Use vascular forceps to clamp the end of the drainage tube;

4. Disinfect the connection of the drainage tube, and separate the drainage tube from the drainage bag;

5. Disinfect the interface and surrounding areas of the drainage tube from the inside out, take the interface as the center, rotate the disinfection to the distal end of the drainage tube 2cm, and disinfect the drainage tube inside and outside twice;

6. Connect the new drainage bag with the drainage tube;

7. Loosen the vascular forceps, and observe whether the drainage tube is unobstructed and whether the joint is tight;

8. Fix the drainage tube and arrange the materials.

Medical staff should pay attention to self-protection work, to use the toothless vascular clamp to clamp the drainage tube, to prevent drainage fluid leakage.

Keep the drainage tube clear and squeeze it regularly to avoid folding and twisting.

The drainage tube should be properly secured to prevent the patient from pulling the tube off when moving.

The color, quality and flow of the drainage fluid should be observed to see if it is consistent with the patient’s condition.
